Dr. Elvin Fenton, O.D.
Dr. Elvin Wendell Fenton is an Oklahoma native, raised in the panhandle on a large farm that has been in his family since the Oklahoma land run. He did his undergraduate work at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK and was accepted early into the optometry program at the Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, OK where he received his Doctoral degree in Optometry. He interviewed and was licensed in multiple states and decided on Texarkana where he has now been in private practice for 16 years. Dr. Fenton started Texarkana Eye Associates in 1997 and has been practicing six days a week ever since.
Dr. Fenton is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, who specializes as a primary care optometrist. He has experience in glaucoma management, LASIK and cataract post-operative management, diabetic eye disease examinations, and many of your primary eye care needs.
Dr. Fenton is married to Melinda Fenton and they have raised three wonderful children, Brandon, Tiffany, and Bailey, and they are now proud grandparents to Basil. Dr Fenton enjoys fishing, hunting, traveling, and supporting his Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Dr. Sean Summers, O.D.
Dr. Sean Michael Summers grew up in Atlanta, Texas. He did his undergraduate work at Texarkana Community College and Texas A&M University-Texarkana, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary education with a specialization in English. Dr. Summers taught high school English, History, and Art before taking a job as an optometric technician with Dr. Fenton at Texarkana Eye Associates in 2002. After a year as a technician, both men agreed that Dr. Summers should go to optometry school. Dr. Summers completed his doctoral degree in 2009 at the Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, OK.
Dr. Summers is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, who also specializes as a primary care optometrist. He has experience in glaucoma management, LASIK and cataract post-operative management, diabetic eye disease examinations, and many of your primary eye care needs.
Dr. Summers is married to Regan Summers of Redwater, TX. They live quietly with their four dogs. Dr. Summers spends his free time as a fan of all sports with football being his favorite.
Dr. Jessica Gandy, O.D.
Dr. Jessica Renee Gandy grew up in Queen City, Texas. She did her undergraduate work at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science with a concentration in Cellular and Molecular Sciences. Dr. Gandy completed her doctoral degree in 2012 at Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry in Bayamon, PR.
Dr. Gandy is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, who also specializes as a primary care optometrist. She has experience in glaucoma management, LASIK and cataract post-operative management, diabetic eye disease examinations, and many of your primary eye care needs.
Dr. Gandy is married to Jonathan Gandy, who is currently in his fourth year of optometry school. Jonathan plans to join Dr. Fenton, Dr. Summers and Dr. Gandy upon graduation in June of 2013. Dr. Gandy spends her free time gardening, shopping and enjoying being back home in Texas.
